When liquid rubbers are shipped in cold weather they may become thick and difficult to use. The rubber may remain cold long after it has been placed in a warm room. Due to extreme temperatures rubber products may freeze. The rubber is not defective but needs to  be warmed by a heating pad or some other source of indirect heat. Optimal temperatures for warming the rubber would be between 100 and 150 degrees F or heat that is comfortable to the touch. Heat Cured/vulcanizing rubbers should respond within a few hours.
